And because this change of season also indicates the need for small critters to find a safe haven from the cold weather, this would also mean the need to pest-proof your home. –          Inspect your home’s exterior and seal any cracks and crevices with silicone caulk.

–          Fill larger gaps and holes inside your home with pieces of steel wool.

–          Screen openings to chimneys and attic vents.

–          Make sure to keep your attics, crawl spaces and basements well ventilated.
