Some home maintenance tasks are ideal for specific seasons in a year. Others should be done on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
Here are some important tasks you should bear in mind.
- Clean the HVAC filters and the unit. Turn the system off and find the filter through the service panel. Check whether it is in good condition or not. If it’s the latter, replace it.
- Clean the exhaust ducts and dryer vents to get rid of the lint that accumulated within the hose and the vent.
- Check and clean the waterspout and gutters for any leaves, branches, and debris that could clog the passageway and cause problems. Make sure the drain spouts are aligned correctly to properly direct the water to the house.
- While on the roof, check it for any loose or broken and missing shingles. Hire an expert if you are not sure how to replace them.
